"Point and Follow"
BACKGROUND AND JUSTIFICATION
The Xixa Theater began working in the neighborhood of Ciutat Meridiana from its inception as an entity through the Theater of the Oppressed to highlight on the one hand the needs in the neighborhood in relation to coexistence itself and the strengthening of neighborhood identity, and for another, it will make visible the creative potential and the motivations addressing these needs through community methodologies, inclusive and with a deep sense of social and critical transformation.
This process will give rise to the constitution of the Community Theater Group of Ciudad Meridiana Punto y Seguido, the evolution of the group, which has come to integrate the discourse of interculturality applying it now with a cross-sectional look, for the diversity present in the has led to the focus of community action, as we mentioned, by the evolution and learning of the group that has an interest in focusing on belonging to the neighborhood of Ciutat Meridiana, which has moved its focus on the axis of the community action, to be a present and active voice that means belonging to Ciudad Meridiana as active and in action neighbors.
Axes of action of the Ciudad Meridiana Community Theater group:
a) Promote community life and action in the neighborhood
b) Strengthen the neighborhood identity and the feeling of belonging.
c) Facilitate an open and dynamic participatory diagnostic space for community life in the neighborhood.
d) Facilitate a space for training and lifelong learning in relation to citizen participation and the strengthening of neighborhood capacities.
e) Generate referents and community agents in neighborhoods, of various ages and socioeconomic situations.
f) Establish this process as a tool for strengthening the relationship with neighborhood entities through the Community Development Plan in coordination with other entities and associations.
After more than 5 years of process, more than 10 presentations have been made and in and out of the neighborhood, with the direct participation on stage of more than 50 residents of diverse origins, ages and socioeconomic situations, and with more than 1,000 people as an audience and with a wide coordination in network with the associative and community fabric of the territory.
AXES OF ACTION OF THE MERIDIAN CITY COMMUNITY THEATER GROUP:
a) Promote community life and action in the neighborhood.

In relation to the group and its operation within the neighborhood: deliberation and transparency, conflict and innovation, complexity and articulation of networks, dynamism, mutual learning, proximity, autonomy, sustainability, inclusiveness, recognition, well-being and social cohesion.
The Community Theater Group of Ciudad Meridiana Punto y Seguido is a resource available to the neighborhood that from the coordination with the PDC will allow it to be used to generate spaces for debate and creation of community life in the neighborhood, as well as to occupy the street that the neighbors are protagonists occupying quality public spaces.
